Susan Schneider

Susan Schneider is a prominent philanthropist and animal rights advocate based in Delray Beach, Florida and Harper, Texas. After building a successful business, Susan’s life took a transformative turn when she adopted a spirited Pomeranian whom she and her son named Finn. Initially seeking companionship, Susan found much more than she expected. Finn became her confidant, her joy, and the catalyst for her newfound passion for animal welfare.
Inspired by Finn’s playful spirit and resilience, Susan has dedicated herself to helping hundreds of dogs in distress and inhumane circumstances all over the country and in Asia. She has been a staunch ally and supporter for ending the cruel practice of torturing and using dogs for food in China and in other countries.
With her passion and influence she quickly became an advocate for legislation aimed at preventing animal abuse and promoting responsible pet ownership and spay and neuter laws. Her Foundation partners with and helps support stray dogs and rescues all over the country. She has stepped in to help many dogs in need of costly medical treatment.
In Finn’s honor, Susan built the “Finn’s Rescue Ranch & Sanctuary,” for dogs abandoned in the San Antonio Texas Region and in Texas border towns. At Finn’s, the focus is on medical care, emotional rehabilitation, and training so each companion animal has the opportunity at a second chance.
All dogs at Finn’s are “special” regardless of their situation, and they are showered with lots of love by their daily caretakers. When it is determined that they are ready, the dogs are carefully matched with their new “forever” families.
Finn’s ranch provides resources to partner rescues by offering financial support and guidance to help them thrive and succeed. Through the work at Finn’s Rescue Ranch, Susan aims to raise awareness about the importance of adopting – over shopping for pets.
Susan’s journey with Finn has not only changed her life, but has also inspired countless others to consider the needs of animals in distress. With her unwavering commitment, she continues to make a significant impact on the lives of dogs and their future families, turning her love for one abandoned Pomeranian into a movement that touches the hearts of many.
